I recently read an interesting article in IlSole24Ore about a new approach being developed for the UNESCO World Heritage site for Pompeii.  One key feature of the new plan is collaboration between government agencies, UNESCO, the local community and private donors to help establish a solid, long-term plan to maintain this important historical site.
